Even though we originally thought we had no work on Wednesday July 3rd, a last minute job came through and wrecked many plans, not mine though, I wanted the hours. SO, I came in to work at 10am with the intention of working until 10pm, however, by lunch time, a horrible migraine had set in. My boss could see it in my eyes, and allowed me to leave around 5:15pm. I went to my Dad's so he could use my car to run some errands as his van is out of commission at the moment. While there, my excedrin migraine kicked in. A combination of leaving work (where I had been dialing and the head set pinching my head didn't help), medicine and puppy love helped take my migraine down to just a minor headache. By evening I was feeling MUCH better so I headed out to a friends in Orlando to hang out! I ended up crashing in Orlando and had the most amazing 4th of July breakfast at a place I had never been to before called First Watch.

After breakfast, I ventured out to stay the weekend with another friend in Port Saint Lucie. Gotta take advantage of these days off as they don't come often. I will admit, I had never traveled to Port Saint Lucie FROM Orlando before, and I had about a 20 minute detour as my good ol' phone GPS had me jump on a toll road the wrong way. It wasn't until I looked up at my rearview mirror and saw my automated compass was definitely telling me I was heading the opposite way of which I should have been. Le Sigh. I had to pay $2.25 to get off, and another $2.25 to hop RIGHT BACK ON. Argh. But, I am not kidding when I say I have NO SENSE OF DIRECTION so I need GPS to be right!

When I finally made it to Port Saint Lucie, my friend's Dad had cooked out for us so we enjoyed his yummy ribs before heading off to see the fireworks over the water.

On Friday we headed to the beach for a beach day. And enjoyed lunch at Archie's, a popular local biker bar hangout joint with delicious burgers.

I drove home Saturday afternoon and ended up in bed sick for the most part (with the exception of church) Sunday - Tuesday. We didn't have work Sunday or Monday (not that I could have went anyways) but we did on Tuesday however my boss made me keep my cooties at home. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and given Z-Pak. I told the Doc then that my left ear hurt but she said it checked out fine.

The Zpak knocked out the URI and my boss allowed me to return to work on Wednesday but after a 10 hour shift Wednesday, I was out of it all over again. Thursday I felt like utter crap. I had SO MUCH PRESSURE on my entire left side, temple, cheek, jaw, nose, neck. I thought it was sinus pressure. I went to work but I had to leave 6 hours in, I couldn't make it the entire shift. Thankfully I was remotely helping our El Paso center, so after our east coast rush ended, I was able to leave. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER. I went home passed out until 6:30am, woke up in extreme pain again to the point of almost going to ER but I reminded myself the price difference of an ER trip and another doctor trip. I prayed that I could just fall back asleep for one more hour, as the clinic would open at 8am and Thank God, I fell back asleep and woke back up at 7:40am, God's perfect timing. I made it to the clinic by 8am and was out with a diagnosis of an inner AND outer ear infection in my left ear. No wonder I was in so much pain. They gave me a new antibiotic and some ear drops, and I am SO much better now.
